The year is just about over - a good time for a look back over the Stagehands year 2008, and the world of stagehands, loaders, riggers, techies and co! We were at work in many countries and on many continents, Stagehands 2008 in Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
Already at the beginning of the year we won a big contract, with a 50 person team of stagehands and forklift operators working for 3 weeks for an American automobile manufacturer at the Cologne trade fair. At the same time two large international sporting events were happy to have us there. One of these was the UEFA EM'08, where the Stagehands lent an energetic hand in all the major cities of Switzerland and Austria, and the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing 2008, where our event technicians and hands were assiduously at work. And our stagehands were there helping out at the Formula One race on the Hockenheimring.
The Comedy King Mario Barth set a world record in the summer of 2008 when he filled the entire Olympic Stadium in Berlin. Our stagehands and event technicians were there to give their professional support. Also not forgetting the Kurt Krömer Roadshow that we were permitted to accompany for some months. Across Europe the Stagehands worked to ensure optimal visual and aural medial technology, and we were able to impress a number of international end users from the automobile, finance, IT and other branches with our services.
The Stagehands were present at a number of trade fairs, stagehands at the RAI Amsterdam, the Neuen Messe Stuttgart, event technicians in the ICC Berlin and STOCCC Stockholm, loaders at the Expo-grounds in Hannover, assignments at the Moscow trade fair, London, Rome, Beijing, Cologne and in many other cities worldwide. We even completed an assignment for the EU parliament in Brussels.
Be it stagehands in France, Belgium and Great Britain, event technicians in Spain, Russia and China, loaders in Sweden, Norway, Denmark or riggers in the USA, Canada and Turkey - there was a whole lot going on, and we look back on a successful year that is drawing to a close. We are excited about 2009 and wish you a merry Christmas.
